Our Story – Four Generations Strong
Since 1924, the hands of the Paterakis family have shaped the heartbeat of Kissamos.
What began as two humble shops on Skalidi Street — one for meat, one for fish — was never just commerce. It was a promise: to honor the Cretan land, respect the sea, and bring only the finest to the tables of our community. Our great-grandfather and grandfather laid the first stones with calloused hands and unwavering pride. Our father carried the flame with quiet strength. And today, brothers Giorgios and Vangelis stand shoulder to shoulder, breathing new life into this living legacy. Giorgios, with his deep knowledge and patient craft, perfected the art of dry age beef Kissamos. Vangelis stands beside him, guarding the traditions that bind generations. Together, guided always by their mother’s wisdom and the memory of those who came before, they continue a story written in blood, soil, and time.
